I prefer these shots to the ones you have in your shop now. They show the endproduct which is what people want to see I think. Since you get to use 5 pictures on Etsy the shots with all the items could be used as a last picture because customers love seeing all that they are getting. A packaging picture is always great too.

Oh, I had a thought for your kitty (since you get 5 pictures on Etsy, ha), how about a shot where the kitty is followed by the white mice, as if they were chasing him instead of the usual other way around? Personally I like seeing a bit of humor in pictures.

I'm really not going to help at all because I love this photoshoot, but also love the ones already on etsy and I don't know which style I prefer best. All the pictures are lovely! Sorry for being no help, just drooling over your products again :-)

I see squared paper, mini eggs, chocolate mice and shredded wheat! It all makes sense now.

I love the close up shots of the fatties so you can see the details and exactly how they're meant to turn out (and then feel depressed when it turns out more frankenstein's monster compared to your gorgeous handiwork).

The photos are fab! The rabbit kit shot is absolutely perfect. You get to see all the things you get, and what your final product should look like. It is a 'complete' picture and could not be any better. Well done!

I like both - I would suggest new photos for the first image so shop has cohesive clean 'look' and then the other other shots showing them in action as it where. I am in the process of changing my photos as well, must be something about the time of year!

From a photographer's perspective and as a fan if your lovable characters I can tell you that I much prefer the new photos, only because we can see more details in the toys and as they are the only toy in the image they hold the viewers full attention. I agree with Tania that seeing the end product is important as when making the kits we know what ours should look like when complete. There is nothing wrong with the old images but new pictures keep everything fresh :)

P.S. The Red Breasted Robin is your weakest image of the lot as there is a lack contrast and I don't like the nest in the background (it looks like an afterthought). Also the nest is used in your spring chicken, which ads to the impression of the nest being an afterthought. I recommend a re-shoot where there is no hail storm to ruin the light and use a different prop, also use the prop in the foreground as you have in all your other images.

now the shredded wheat nests make sense......
For what it's worth, I love the new shots: the detail in the fatties is clear and I like the squared paper background. I've always had a love of squared paper. i would say that the robin image seems to not be as good as the others....no idea why.

I've always liked your photos, I think you could always kind of get "lost" in them because your products are so lovely to look at. But the moment I saw your new photos the subjects really jumped out at me, they are so real and the clarity is amazing. Your facebook page looks so vibrant too. I think your new photos would definitely attract people to look at them. Big thumbs up!!

Oh I love the look of your old shots, but these are so clean. Perfect for magazines! And I love the nests, you clever cookie, and that shot of the finger puppet on Matilda's hand (I presume) is fab!

Emily

I love the new look!
