Life is so crazy busy right now.
I have the two little ones on Mondays & Tuesdays, which means playing, visiting the library, going to the park, dressing up, and generally despairing whilst they pull every item they own out & onto the floor. As you can imagine this doesn't leave much time for work.
On Wednesdays & Thursdays I am puppet making at Mackinnon & Saunders, at least until the end of June.
And on Fridays I am juggling between seven extra work hours for Mackinnon & Saunders, illustrating picture book spreads, uploading products to my upcoming Not On The High Street shop, emails, designing new products, and generally catching up work wise.
You might say I'm a little swamped!
So at the moment I am working a lot into the late evenings, with a lot of essential work being done post 9pm. But certain things like taking new photographs just doesn't work at night! So on Friday I stopped everything else for two hours, whilst there was a teeny break in the big black rainy sky giving me some good natural light, and took some new photos.
And here they are! Well, a few of them.
My product photography is something I feel is constantly evolving - does anyone else find this?
And I really want all of my photographs to fit well together, to give me a cohesive look, and bring a fresh feel to my shop.
So with my Not On The High Street shop coming soon, I wanted to freshen up a few of my older photos. I would love to know what you think.
I've also altered my make-your-own kit packaging ever so slightly. Each kit now has lovely matt sticker labels on the front, is sealed with spotty washi tape, and the contents are wrapped in tissue paper with a signature Cupcakes for Clara tag inside.
All of these products are available at the moment in my shop on etsy. And will be coming soon on Not On The High Street too, along with some ultra special completely exclusive ones.
P.S. Have you seen my new About page on Etsy? It's a great new feature, and amazingly my page was featured in the Etsy Online Labs as a good example. Exciting huh?!
