Exactly one year ago today I launched my first little Clara shop into the world. It was a very special day for more than one reason, and I'm thrilled to say that since then things have gone from strength to strength. Now I'm selling on the lovely Not On The High Street, and in a few bricks & mortar shops too, have had products featured in lots of magazines and blogs, and am finally making progress on the Clara and Macy picture books. It's all very exciting!
So to celebrate I thought I might launch a super special one of a kind outfit card for the Clara paper dolls. A limited edition birthday outfit.
And I need your help.
If you have ever wanted to design your very own Clara outfit, now is your chance...
I bring you the grand "design your own Clara outfit" competition. I would love for you all to design Clara her special birthday outfit. One winning design will be printed up as a limited edition run of 150 single outfit cards that fit the Clara paper dolls, and will be sold for charity.
They will be launched on November 17th (World Prematurity Day) and all proceeds will go to the charity Bliss, for babies born too soon, too small, too sick. Most of you will know that prematurity and Bliss are very special in my heart since our own little Theo was born ten weeks early.
The winner will not only have their design professionally printed as outfit cards for Clara, they will also receive 20 of the cards and a Clara goodie bag containing every Clara paper doll and outfit ever made.

You can download this template sheet to help you with your designs or you can create a brand new completely original outfit. If you need some ideas of what Clara likes and doesn't like head here. Or browse her current paper doll outfits here. You could go for spots, stripes, patterns, ribbons, headbands, fancy dress, hats, scarves, bags, cardigans, dresses, shorts, skirts, anything!
Once you have designed your outfit you can either upload it to the Clara paper dolls flickr group or email it to mail@cupcakesforclara.com. If you struggle to upload it let me know and I'll give you my postal address so that you can send it that way.
The competition is open to all ages from all countries.
It closes on November 2nd, the winner will be notified by November 9th, and the cards will be on sale November 17th to celebrate World Prematurity Day and raise money for Bliss.
