A couple of weeks ago we bought a bread maker. It's something we've wanted for ages, especially with the kids allergies making it so tricky for us to buy nice bread for them.
We had always presumed it would take up too much space in our teeny kitchen but this lovely retro looking one we found in a local charity shop was perfect. And a bargain at only £15 especially as it was in immaculate condition.
The era of baking our own bread has begun. And it's amazing!
I don't think I realised how easy they are to use. We haven't tried anything fancy yet, just white and multipgrain, but it is lovely to have fresh bread every other day. And it's making the house smell gorgeous!
Dairy, soya and egg free banana bread worked really well, and tomorrow I'm going to give a lemon & poppy seed recipe a go. Fingers crossed!
Do you have a bread maker? Any recipes that you particularly love?
